Jeff Ku, MSc, PEng

Jeff is a Community Consultant with Urban Systems Ltd. and Urban Matters CCC. He has a Civil Environmental Engineering background, graduating from the University of Alberta. He uses his municipal infrastructure background and community well-being mindset to work with various communities such as rural villages and towns, Indigenous Communities, community associations, and large urban centres, to address their problems and find solutions. Jeff is heavily involved in the community outside of work, volunteering his time to the Edmonton Community Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the MacEwan Institute for Social Innovation and Roundhouse. He aspires to use these skills and experiences to contribute to building up vibrancy and resiliency within the communities he works in.

Marielle Flottat is an Engineering Education Synergist with Scout Engineering & Consulting Ltd, and an Instructor at SAIT in Calgary, AB. She has a Chemical Engineering background from the University of Calgary, and has worked in Canada, USA, and overseas in Ghana. Marielle applies over ten years of project management experience in her work and uniquely considers all aspects to define a project for success. She works with Indigenous communities to comprehensively analyze and outline a problem, followed by collaboration to implement sustainable solutions. Outside of work, Marielle contributes her leadership skills with the Canadian Ski Patrol; she has been a patroller for nine years and is the Patrol Leader for the CSP at Lake Louise.
